Companionship Care

Companionship Care Services

We offer companionship for those who want to avoid being alone. We can make lasting memories and help you enjoy your favourite places.

Why is companionship care important?

We believe that everyone deserves company, no matter what. That’s why we’ve created our companionship care service to make sure everyone has someone to talk to.

Lack of companionship can lead to loneliness and isolation, which are considerable problems in and of themselves, but they can also lead to health issues such as depression, sleep problems, hypertension, stress and mental health problems.

Our companionship carers

Our companionship care assistants can visit you or your loved one as often as you need, to offer support and the human touch. Having a friendly face, or companion, to support with daily activities is often crucial to your happiness and wellbeing.

Our companionship carers often become good friends with our clients, someone they feel they can easily chat with and discuss things with, both at home and out and about.

Our companionship carers often become good friends with our clients, someone they feel they can easily chat with and discuss things with at home and out and about. Our carers allow clients to talk about their past and present lives, including memories of holidays and other events that have made them happy.

Companionship carers also offer reassurance to our clients when they feel worried or anxious, which can help ease symptoms of depression or loneliness. They may also offer help and advice, especially when needed, such as with household chores.

How you can benefit from companionship services

Our care assistants can really help brighten your day. They will become a recognised, welcome face who gives you quality time and can offer an understanding and interesting conversation.

They are here to relieve you from your responsibilities so you can relax and enjoy yourself.

Perhaps you or a loved one feels lonely despite being surrounded by friends and family. Or maybe there’s no one nearby to connect with. Regardless of the situation, spending time one-on-one has a ton of benefits.

Maybe you or your friend or relative wants to make new connections but lacks the confidence to join a new friendship or hobby group alone. A companionship care assistant could help identify local clubs and attend them with you.

Help with getting out of your home

Having a few health problems can make it difficult to get out and about. This can leave someone feeling socially isolated. Our companionship care assistants can help you or your loved one physically to get out and explore the local park, shopping centre, or wherever you’d like to go. We will assess your needs to decide what level of support is needed, and we can then provide you with a care plan tailored specifically to your circumstances.

Whatever level of care you require, our companionship care assistants are friendly, caring and professional. Hygea is also CQC registered, fully insured and ready to help.
